Meet the Board

Sophia Bogdasarian – President & Founder
Sophia graduated from Fitchburg State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Her first job was on a head and neck cancer ward at the VA Hospital in Jamaica Plain, where she met her otolaryngologist husband of 43 years. Sophia practiced oncology nursing for many years, ending her career as the nurse manager of the Simon Sinon Regional Cancer Center in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. She has been active in multiple local organizations, many times in roles of leadership. She is currently a member of The Fay Club, and serves on their social committee. As a founding member of the 658 Main Street Foundation, she serves as President. She is also a member of the Board of Commissioners of Trust Funds for the city of Fitchburg. She is the immediate past president of the Mass Medical Society Alliance where she enjoys sitting on the public health committee and the senior physician committee of the MMS. Sophia is the mother of four sons and is grandmother to three grandchildren, the loves of her life. She enjoys gourmet dining and world travel with her husband and hiking with her standard poodle.

Bill is a founding member of the foundation.
William Mcsheehey – Secretary & Founder
Bill McSheehy is a retired public elementary school principal and teacher. He is a life long resident of Fitchburg. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the Fitchburg Art Museum, St. Bernards High School, Aging Services of North Central MA, The Friends of Coggshall, and is a member of the Fitchburg Library Building Committee and the Fitchburg City Hall building committee. In addition, he was the past president of the Fitchburg Historical Society, Vice President of the Fitchburg Cultural Alliance and past president of the Massachusetts Association of Teacher Educators. He is currently a University Supervisor for the Education Department at Fitchburg State University. Bill is a founding member of the foundation.

Daniel Friederichs – Director
Dan lives in Westminster, MA, but grew up in Eden Valley, MN. His childhood antique home is now his second residence. During his Vietnam military service, Dan was stationed at the Pentagon where he held a higher security clearance than the President. He worked for 3M in Product Design Development where he currently has a United States patent in his name. He later worked in the fiber optics lab on injection molding to micron tolerances. He was also the president and owner of Pro Bike. Dan has been a volunteer at the Museum of Science, president and key note speaker of the of the MA and NH M.I. Hummel Club, a board member of the Friends of the Swampscott Library, and the New England Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue. Dan is presently a member of the Westminster Historical Society and Antique consultant.
Ashok Hingorany – Director & Founder
Ashok earned his B. Eng. (Mechanical Engineering) degree at Baroda University, India, M. Sc Metallurgy & PHD Material Sciences, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. After graduation from RPI he worked at Texas Instrument in Attleboro and then became a Partner in a start-up Electronic component business. Later he and a former partner, started Minuteman International Company ( A fireplace and wood stove supplier to specialty stores countrywide). Most recently, he and his wife, Achla Bahl Madan, started ACHLA Designs ( Garden and hand forged WI furnishing supplier to businesses in US). He and his wife have three children, and currently live in the Fitchburg area. Ashok is also a founding member of the foundation.
Pati Maguy – Director
Pati is a recently retired marketing professional with over 20 years experience in all aspects of marketing, with certifications in email, social, web and digital marketing. As a life-long Fitchburg resident, Pati has always had a love for the local historical buildings, especially along Main Street. She and her husband, of just over 40 years, have two children and 4 grandchildren. Prior to her marketing career, Pati was a musician/singer and directed a church group for 10 years, where she enjoyed writing and arranging the music. She was also a professional artist and now enjoys drawing and painting in her spare time. She is a Fitchburg High School alumni, top 10 of her graduating class, National Honor Society, and attended Fisher Junior College, and New England College of Business.
